About us
The Yorùbá Community in Hull & East Riding is a cultural, social, and support organisation dedicated to preserving our heritage and empowering our people. We bring together Yorùbá families, professionals, students, and community members to celebrate our identity, strengthen unity, and build a thriving presence within the wider society.
We promote Yorùbá culture through events, language programmes, youth initiatives, and community engagement activities that keep our traditions alive. Beyond culture, we provide support for new arrivals, families, and individuals seeking guidance, welfare assistance, and integration into life in Hull & East Riding.
As a recognised voice for the Yorùbá community, we work in partnership with local organisations, institutions, and civic bodies to ensure representation, inclusion, and positive contribution to the region.
We are committed to unity, progress, and cultural pride — creating a home where every Yorùbá person feels seen, supported, and connected.
