Yoruba Community Hull is a cultural, social and support organisation founded by passionate individuals committed to building a community that supports Yoruba people living in Hull and East Riding, in partnership with Hull City Council and other local civic bodies.
Our work is rooted in preserving Yoruba heritage while strengthening the wellbeing of every family we serve. In particular, we share Yoruba cultural values and make a positive contribution to the wider Hull community through events, welfare support, and youth-focused programmes.
Families, professionals, students and community members come together here to celebrate our shared identity and build a thriving presence within the wider society. Through festivals, language classes, and cultural workshops, for example, we keep our traditions alive and pass them on to the next generation.
We strive to create a supportive and inclusive community that celebrates Yoruba heritage while embracing our home in Hull & East Riding.
